The food and wine tradition of the Terre Sicane is the result of a fascinating mix of biodiversity that benefits from a prodigious nature, a mild climate and the cultural and agricultural contributions inherited from the different populations that have inhabited these places. The Terre Sicane are the golden triangle of Sicilian viticulture: the vineyards draw a fascinating landscape, offering visitors the opportunity to discover a culture of vines and wine as old as man. Here you can encounter the production experiences of great historic brands but also those of young winemakers who, with dedication and passion, have given substance to the winemaking excellence and the image of Sicilian wine in the world. Traditional vines such as Nero d'Avola and Perricone, Catarratto and Inzolia and many others coexist alongside quality international ones, the extra virgin olive oil of Nocellara, Cerasuola and Biancolilla is one of the best in the world. The table, to be discovered in the many restaurants of the Terre Sicane, offers the products of an agriculture rich in sun, flavors and aromas: the Vastedda del Belice together with ricotta and pecorino cheeses, prickly pears and citrus fruits, typical sweets, including the “Minni di Virgini”, garden products (among which artichokes and tomatoes stand out), up to the fish of one of the most uncontaminated and clean seas in the Mediterranean.
